MAPLE BROWN SUGAR OAT BARS
Chewy maple brown sugar oat bars made with wholesome ingredients - hearty oats, pure maple syrup, and coconut oil. A delicious maple‑sweet bar that’s great for breakfast, afternoon cravings, or a quick pick‑me‑up.
Dry 2 cups quick oats 1 cup all purpose flour ¾ cup brown sugar 2 tsp cinnamon ½ tsp nutmeg ½ tsp salt ½ tsp baking soda Wet ½ cup neutral oil avocado or melted coconut oil ½ cup pure maple syrup 1 large egg or flax egg 2 tsp vanilla extract Maple Glaze (optional but amazing) 1/4 cup powdered sugar 1-2 tbsp maple syrup pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 7x11 inch pan with parchment.
In a bowl, whisk oil, maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until glossy.
In another bowl, stir together oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, & baking soda.
Pour wet into dry and mix until a thick, sticky dough forms.
Press evenly into the pan - really pack it down for chewy bars.
Bake 22–26 minutes, until edges are golden and center is set.
Cool completely before slicing (they firm up as they cool).
Optional - Can use 8x8 inch square pan instead for thicker bars.
