  • 4 boneless salmon fillets 3-4 ounces each - can be either skinless or skin on depending on your preference
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons tamari or low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Prepare salmon glaze by mixing real maple syrup, tamari, sesame oil, garlic powder, and ginger powder together in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat up oven safe pan (such as cast iron) and drizzle olive oil in.
  • Once pan is hot, place salmon fillets top side down. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Let fillets brown for about 2 minutes. Flip and allow them to brown on underside for another 2 minutes.
  • Pour 3/4 of salmon glaze evenly over each fillet in the pan. Place pan in preheated oven and bake salmon at 375 degrees F for 8 - 10 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes with a fork.
  • Allow cooked salmon to rest 2-3 minutes and then drizzle remaining maple glaze over the salmon before serving.
