Homemade Alfredo Sauce - Quick & Easy Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil or butter
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves minced
  • 1 c. heavy whipping cream can substitute with whole milk
  • 1 c. chicken broth
  • 3 tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. parmesan cheese grated
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • irst, in a small bowl or 2 cup glass measure cup, pour in chicken broth and whisk in flour. Grate cheese. Set both aside.
  • Heat olive oil in saucepan over medium-low heat. Add in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, stirring occasionally - usually takes about a minute.
  • Pour in broth & flour mixture, followed by heavy whipping cream, salt, and pepper. Whisk.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer. Whisk simmering sauce frequently until mixture has thickened.
  • Reduce heat to low and add in parmesan cheese. Whisk until cheese has melted.
  • Cool slightly and enjoy over your favorite pasta.
